Hui Mama Wela
A Kauwela Gathering Series for Moms
Our 2nd annual Kauwela Program returns this summer, with a softer focus on nourishing moms.

A Summer Rhythm for Mothers
Hui Mama Wela is a keiki-friendly gathering series created for mothers holding ʻohana, home life, work, caregiving, and the many unseen pieces of everyday life.
This year’s Kauwela Program is shifting with intention. Last year held more space for keiki-centered programming; this year, we’re centering nourishment for mothers — while still making room for keiki to be present.
These gatherings are simple, spacious, and community-centered. Nothing to perform. Nothing to perfect. Just space to gather, create, move, sip, and reconnect.
Gathering Schedule
June 9th- Vision Board Workshop
We’ll open the series with a sound healing and meditation ritual led by Blaine Risner of The Conch HI, creating space to ground, soften, and reconnect with self before beginning the visioning process.
From there, we’ll move into a gentle vision board practice — a space to reflect, create, and make room for what’s unfolding in this season.
This is not about perfect goals or polished plans. It’s simply a space to notice what feels true and create from there.
June 23rd- Gentle Yoga Session
This 45-minute gentle yoga practice will be led by Kapua DeRamos of @mama.aila.yogi.
Together, we’ll move slowly and intentionally, creating space to reconnect with breath, body, and presence.
This gathering is meant to feel supportive and accessible — no experience needed, no pressure to perform.
July 7th- Make Your Own Tea Blend
A hands-on gathering where moms can create their own tea blend using ingredients such as māmaki, ʻōlena, ginger, lemongrass, lemon, peppercorn, and honey.
A simple way to explore nourishment through scent, taste, warmth, and care.
July 21st- Mahalo Pot Luck
We’ll close the series with a simple mahalo potluck at KEY Project — a time to share food, conversation, and be together.
A gentle way to end the season in gratitude, connection, and ease. Details will be shared closer to the gathering.
Keiki Welcome
We know motherhood doesn’t pause when mothers need care too.
This series is created with space for keiki to be present while moms gather, connect, and receive nourishment in community.
Keiki do not need to be perfectly quiet or perfectly still. We simply ask that everyone helps care for the shared space with kindness and awareness.
What to Bring
For most gatherings, just bring yourself and anything your keiki may need to feel comfortable.
Any session-specific details — including what to bring, what to wear, and anything helpful to know ahead of time — will be shared in the Acuity listing and confirmation email when you register.
For the gentle yoga session, we recommend comfortable clothing and a yoga mat or towel if you have one.
For the Mahalo Potluck, details about what to bring will be shared closer to the gathering.
Gather With Us
Gatherings will be held at KEY Project in Kāneʻohe.
Space is limited so the gatherings can stay small and grounded.
You’re welcome to register for individual paid gatherings at $20 per session, join the full Hui Mama Wela series for $55, or register for the free Mahalo Potluck so we can plan accordingly.
